TEAM SOLID GOLD
08-04-2011: Update from trainer Jared Seely - Sorry for not being able to meet with you this last Sunday to see Solid Gold, but July is one of the busiest months out of the year for me. Solid Gold, however, is riding great! His foot is finally healed (he punctured the sole of his foot) and hardened enough to where I can consistantly ride him. Due to his time off while being lame, the little horse only has about 15 rides on him and I feel that he is ready for a 10 yr old kid to ride around while supervised. Solid Gold is a very quiet riding horse and is going to be very light and responsive in his handle. Today I rode him to help a neighbor gather a set of steers and he was getting complements from the neighbor all morning long about how willing Solid Gold was and how hard he was trying to please me. His biggest drawback though is that he does not like his ears to be touched what-so-ever but, he is getting much better (just slowly). He had his first set of shoes put on a few weeks ago and stood fairly well through the whole ordeal. This is one of the most willing horses I have ever rode and will make a great horse when he is finished and the perfect size for a kid.
