I started riding when I was a kid and have rode for several years and then I started working for a family friend who taught me discipline and cultivated my riding and taught me how to rope. I was working for him (a professional trainer) as a warm up and groomer. He taught me the basic principles of training and schooling of horses. Over the years of clinics, practice and several studies of Monty Roberts, I decided to start my dads horse. At about 18 years old, I completed that task and had started 3 other horses and started working for others, ironing out kinks and problem solving. A few years after I joined the Navy and had to put my saddle days aside. Now I am out of the military and away from home, I am working horses at my own farm in Newalla. It is an amazing feeling re-igniting that flame and learning from the horses about myself and loving them.
