My name is Kaidyn Lopez and I am 17 years old. I have always loved horses from the time I was a little girl and started riding and working with in 2009. I took to riding, showing and working horses right away. I rescued my first horse, Stella, from the Jones auction in March of 2009 and little did I know then that she would teach me the most. I have showed in all disciplines such as western pleasure, speed events, English equation and jumping. Since then I have learned that just like people all horses learn differently and so you have to learn the horse before you can truly start to train. You have to watch and listen to what they say. Once you have done that, you can start your training with the best method for that horse as they are all different. Since then I have fully trained and competed with 5 horses, competing in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th annual Blaze’s Ride to the Rescue Trainer’s Challenge and the 2014 and 2015 youth mustang makeover in Fort Worth, Texas. In the future I would like to work with and train not only horses but riders as well, to find the best pair for each of them. But until then, I would like to work with horses and to find good homes for them so someone can find a best friend in their horse like I did.
