I’ve been around horses since I was 12 and started riding at 13. I have a rescue horse of my own that I broke to ride and he now does therapeutic riding for special needs children. Rescue horses are not a breed and the name shouldn’t carry the stigma that it does. They were simply not cared for by their owners or mistreated. They can do whatever any other horse can do. Remember, the horse is never wrong! They all have a story to tell if we just take the time to listen. Horsemanship is not a technique, it is an attitude. Give your horse some respect and he will do the same for you.
