Off to a GREAT Start!!!
Trainer pick-up day was this past Saturday, May 14th. All trainers that were selected to participate came out to Blaze's and had a great time getting to know each other, event producers and all the horses. Trainers had 30 minutes to observe the horses, and then names were randomly drawn to decide choosing order. Once a trainer's name was called, that trainer had five minutes to choose their horse. Some trainers knew immediately which horse they wanted, others took their whole five minutes to decide. After all the choosing was complete, a fun lunch was served and then the bonding began. Event producers answered questions about Competition Day, and assisting with the loading of horses heading out to their temporary homes. Before the last horse was even loaded, Natalee Cross recieved pictures on her phone from Robert Hayes, who already had his horse home and was up on her back!! It was a fabulous start to an exciting event. Check out the trainer biographies, complete with pictures of their new riding partners!
